The King of Prussia before two officers welcomes a group of emigrants. ♦ Pressler 815; Roll 51 Silver Schraubtaler OR Silver Screw Medal (cast) By Abraham Remshard (1680-1754) On the emigration from Salzburg to Prussia (1731/32). Inside: 17 linked hand-painted medallions numbered 1-17 depicting scenes from the Reformation and the expulsion of Protestants by the Bishop of Salzburg, their exodus and their welcome by Prussian King Frederick William I to Prussian Lithuania. Banners corresponding to biblical quotations. Signature of Abraham Remshard on vignette 17. The lids reveal two geographical maps, one of the bishopric of Salzburg and the other of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Four punches on the edge. Ø 44,40 mm (22,21 g) The paintings are very fresh, the connecting bars are partly detached. Very rare. Very good condition.
