(3,00 g) Very rare and interesting coin. Very nice. Charles II of Navarre said "Charles the Bad" was born in Evreux on October 10, 1332 and died in Pamplona January 1, 1387. He was king of Navarre from 1349 to 1387 and count of Evreux from 1343 to 1378. He was the son of Philip III Count of Evreux and Jeanne II Queen of Navarre, daughter of King Louis the Hutin. His mother was too young and too little supported to be able to impose her rights on her uncle the count of Poitiers, who was crowned king under the name of Philip V. The Salic law was then ignored by all and was only discovered in 1358. However, Jeanne never formally renounced the crown of France.
