AULERCI DIABLINTES Jublains region 2nd century B.C. Laureate head right, Apollonian type. R/. Androcephalous horse led by a charioteer. In front, lunisolar vexillum dial. Below, a four-lobed four-lobed rosette within a beaded circle. ♦ DT 2166 var; LT 6902 var. Quart de statère d'or "au cercle perlé". (1,89 g) Very rare. Fine scratches on obverse. A very fine example. Aulerci Diablintes. The Diablintes were a Gallic people, living in an area that partly corresponds to the present-day département of Mayenne, who gave their name to the town of Jublains, their capital. They were one of the four branches of the Aulerques. They were surrounded to the west by the Abrincates, to the north by the Viducasses (bounded by the Marais de Briouze-forêt de Halouze - Yvrandes line (literally meaning "limit") and the Vire river), to the east by the Cénomans, to the west by the Riedones and to the south by the Andécaves.
