*Treasure of Tayac. In December 1893, two ceramic vases were discovered by chance in a field. They contained at least 325 gold Gallic coins, small ingots, gold wire and a large torque, also in gold. Unfortunately, three-fifths of the find was sold to a goldsmith in Bordeaux and melted down. The rest was sold to various collectors and to the Bordeaux town hall. It included staters and quarter-staters from the Arvernes, Eduens, Ambiens... Publication: Le Trésor de Tayac de Jacques Gorphe. Paris, 2010.
