The Trinovantes were one of the most powerful Breton peoples in pre-Roman Britain's protohistory. Their territory lay north of the Thames estuary, in the present-day counties of Essex and Suffolk. Their capital, Camulodunon, was located on the site of present-day Colchester, one of the supposed locations of Camelot. Their neighbors were the Icenes to the north, the Catuvellauni to the west and the Cantiaci to the south. *Addedomaros was a Celtic king who ruled over the Catuvellauni and Trinovantes peoples in southeastern England in the 1st century BC. His name means "the Great Spear".
