The *Charminar "Four Columns" is a monumental mosque located in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana (formerly Andhra-Pradesh), India. Considered one of India's most emblematic monuments, it is the city's best-known edifice. To the west of the Charminar lies the Laad Bazaar, and to the south-west the majestic Makkah Masjid mosque.
