François LINKE (1855-1946). Bonheur du jour in mahogany and mahogany veneer, inlaid with fillets. It opens with three drawers and rests on four curved legs. The top, darkened with gilded leather, is surmounted by a tier with a curved front housing a pigeonhole and five drawers, surmounted by a clock with a white enameled dial, signed "F. Linke". Linke". (Small accident to the enamel). Two two-light candelabras rest on the bottom of the tier. Ornamentation in chased and gilded bronze with foliate corner falls, foliate ribbon bows, pull handles and key escutcheons (two pull handles missing). Louis XV style. Signed. Width : 110 cm - Depth : 59 cm - Height : 114 cm. Provenance: Private collection of Mr. Juan Higinio Aztoreca (1840-1903), by descent. Formerly kept in his private mansion in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
