Expressive portrait. A very fine example.
Athena Promachos is the fighting form of Athena. This qualifier means "who fights forward". She hates killing, burning and pillaging, and must set the example in battle, so she's in the front line and her warriors follow her into action. She fights alongside those who wish to remain free. Athena Promachos is determined, energetic and indomitable. She is the terror of opposing armies, yet she respects her enemy.
