In 1954, Henri Langlois introduced her to Abel Gance at a reception in honor of G. Méliès. A fortnight after this meeting, she became his assistant and played a small role in La Tour de Nesle (1954). -From the library of Régine Deforges, with this mischievous note in a numbered envelope: RD 079: "Paris, Vendredi. My weaver is weaving her bizarre black sheets, and I hope you'll be able to announce her soon in your catalogs. A bientôt avec mon souvenir amical. BELEN " Of course, reference is made to ARAGON's text, "Le Con d'Irène", republished by R.
