5 Decimes known as "Robespierre" at the Fountain of Isis in copper 1793-an 2 Paris.
Very fine.
The Fountain of Regeneration or Fountain of Isis was a monument erected in Paris in 1793 on the site of the ruins of the destroyed Bastille. It featured an Egyptian allegory of nature, in the form of a statue of the goddess Isis, flanked by two seated lions, spouting water from her breasts. It was used at a celebration commemorating the first anniversary of August 10, 1792. Organized by David, the "Fête de l'Unité et de l'Indivisibilité" ceremony invited 86 senior citizens representing the French départements to come and drink from the fountain, symbolizing national regeneration.
