Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973). - Lot 58

Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973). Handwritten letter in brown ink on one page recto verso, dated June 22, 1917 (Barcelona) and signed "Picasso". Dimensions: 18 x 11.2 cm. Barcelona June 22, 1917 Dear Eugenia What joy you have given me with your card to Barcelona. I went back to Madrid and ate with Diaghilev at your friend F.'s house, which is very nice and not lacking in beauty. And I already feel like going back to Paris. If it hadn't been for the war, I might have stayed here all summer! The thousand francs as I'm going to need them now for a few things to pay the first of the month in Paris. If you want, Ernestine, to whom I'm going to write, will go to your house and you can give them to her, thus saving me the trouble of sending them from here. Write to me and tell me things, and don't tell me you're sad, when everyone loves you and I love you. Your friend Picasso With Picasso Committee certificate dated September 17, 2025. Provenance: Eugenia Errazuriz (1860-1951).
