Brazil. Old-style (1730) but more recent (1922) parade drago - Lot 24
Brazil. Old-style (1730) but more recent (1922) parade dragon helmet.
The object is surprising, unusual to say the least. The shell is made of light metal, embossed with scales, and the cork visor and nape are covered with canvas. A front plate bears the Brazilian coat of arms, dated 1889. Branches of coffee on one side and tobacco on the other, simulated scale chinstraps (one scale and rosette missing), topped by a dragon with wings (mane missing). The interior is in B.E.
