Albert BRENET (1903-2005). - Lot 165
Albert BRENET (1903-2005). Brown bear. Watercolor. Signed upper left. 43 x 36 cm (in a glass frame). Poster artist, illustrator and painter. Before becoming an official Navy painter, Albert Brenet was an animal painter in his early career; this bear, probably sketched at the Jardin des Plantes, is a perfect example. Galerie Charpentier presented his work in an exhibition devoted to animal painters.
