JACOBS. Le Secret de l'Espadon" portfolio, Blake & Mortimer editions, 1986. The entire album reprinted in large-format silkscreen, enhanced by two lithographs, "SX1 contre-attaque", signed by Jacobs, and "Le Bois des pauvres" (the author's home), signed by Philippe Biermé. A double tribute plate by Jacques Laudy, signed in fine by Laudy. And a supporting serigraph, also signed by Jacobs. And an unsigned lithograph (Espadon). All contained in a gold-stamped, blue cloth-covered box with wooden spine! Very good condition. Slight rubbing to spine of slipcase, as expected. The most magnificent and rare of all the portfolios dedicated to Jacobs' work, of unsurpassed publishing quality. (The total print run was 126 copies, nos. 1 to 10 and the 26 HC in blue slipcases, the other 90 theoretically in mauve slipcases). This is true art serigraphy, with numerous color passages, rendering the beauty of Jacobs' work beyond compare. A blue slipcase copy, a rarer color normally reserved for off-the-shelf copies, but 2 or 3 copies reserved for the author, including this one, have appeared on the market over the years.
