B.[ernard?] Hatt, possible pseudonym of Louis Forton (artist - Lot 171
B.[ernard?] Hatt, possible pseudonym of Louis Forton (artist who used the pseudonym Tom Hatt" and B. Hatt can be read as the 19th-century slang word "bath", meaning "pretty or new, or good". The Poulbot-style drawing seems compatible with Forton's style. [Communisme]. Indian ink drawing on paper, signed, titled in pencil "un maximaliste" and captioned below: "Say guys, if you want we'll make a Soviet too and then we'll decide not to go to school". 22x 24.5 cm. Good condition. Very interesting drawing signed and dated [19]17, exactly contemporary with the Russian Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917.
