LEMOVICES Limoges region Late 2nd century and 1st third of 1st century B.C. Head to right, hair in thick strands. R/. Horse on left. Above, a crane, its tail plume resting on the croup, between two centered annuli. In front, S-shaped scroll emerging from the mouth. Below, three-lobed finial. ♦ DT 3409 and 10; LT cf 4068 et seq. Copper-plated gold statère "à la grue". (6,84 g) Rare. Oblong blank. A very fine example.
